As most of you would know, I'm really into the environment, but I'm not someone who likes reading loads of facts although I do take history and love it. Anyways I figured I can help in some ways such as spreading the words.

My whole household recycles everything recyclable. I don't use plastic bags when I buy stuff. I use as little energy as I can. I only sleep with 3 hours of ac at 21 degrees compared to about 2/3 years ago when it was 6 hours at 18 degrees. I not only save the world by wasting less energy but save cost too. You can do it too by slowly increasing your ac temperature and decreasing time consume.

My goal is to convince my friend EB to do so too as she uses her ac 24/7 which is HORRIBLE! If you really aren't bothered to do so but want to increase your Karma, you can sign petitions onONE.

Pls do a part to save the world. It would be deeply appreciated and you'll feel good about it too. You aren't just one person, you are a part of EARTH and we are ONE.

(CNN) -- Longtime "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell said he'll be leaving the popular Fox talent show at the end of the season, the network announced Monday at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, California.

Cowell's popular U.K. talent show, "The X Factor," will be coming to the United States in the fall of 2011 with the acerbic critic in tow, according to Fox.

"I want to leave 'Idol' this year bigger and better than it was in the past," Cowell said at the TCA tour Monday.

Cowell will be both executive producer and judge on "The X Factor."

"I'm thrilled that we have put a date on the launch of the U.S. version of 'The X Factor,' and delighted to be continuing to work with Fox," said Cowell in a statement. "We have a fantastic relationship, a great team and are all very excited about this."iReport: Will you watch "Idol" without Simon?

Speculation has raged for weeks as to Cowell's future. Though he's well paid for his "Idol" work -- an estimated $36 million per season -- he has expressed a desire to focus on "The X Factor."

Cowell said at the press session that it's taken some time to reach an agreement for his new duties, hence the buzz. (Indeed, he signed the last page of his "contract" on stage with Fox executives Peter Rice and Kevin Reilly.)

"[I] didn't think it was right to do two shows in America at the same time, so [I] decided to leave one and start another," he said.

He said he missed Paula Abdul, the former "Idol" judge who left the show in August, but wouldn't confirm or deny whether she would appear on "X Factor" in the U.S. Cowell and Abdul had a good-naturedly contentious relationship on "Idol," with the tough-minded Brit often acting as bad cop to the "Forever Your Girl" singer's good cop.

Ellen DeGeneres, who's taking over Abdul's judging slot, joked about Cowell's announcement on her talk show Monday -- getting in a dig at NBC's late-night troubles as well.

"So this just happened, Simon Cowell just announced that he's leaving 'Idol.' This will be his last season. He announced he's leaving on my first day. I'm trying not to take it personally," she said. "But seriously, I am going to be very, very sad to see him go, because I think he's made the show what it is. He's a huge part of that show but he wanted a change. I wish him all the luck in the world hosting 'The Tonight Show,' " said DeGeneres, referring to widespread speculation about how NBC will resolve its issues with its late-night talk shows. In reality, of course, Simon Cowell has not been part of that speculation.

Since its premiere in 2002, "Idol" has been an entertainment phenomenon, regularly ranking as TV's top show, creating several musical stars and pulling in millions more viewers than its closest competition. Its new season premieres Tuesday.

Cowell's presence has been credited as a major reason. The British music executive was a judge on the British version of "Idol," "Pop Idol," and came to the United States when Fox imported the show. Unlike judges on many American talent shows, Cowell didn't sugar-coat his criticisms to contestants.

With the show's growing popularity -- by its fourth season it was the top show on television, a rank it has held ever since -- Cowell and fellow "Idol" players Abdul, judge Randy Jackson and amiable host Ryan Seacrest became stars in their own right.

We're doing a quick survey and would greatly appreciate it if you could spare a couple of minutes to help us out. Many would be familiar with Australia's renowned Soundwave Festival and we're hoping you could give us your honest input to these questions:

1. If there was a local (and smaller) version of the festival, would you attend?

John: Last night we went out for a little while, and we got love drunk like every 10 minutes. Every girl that walked by was like so gorgeous here.

Martin: There are a lot of beautiful girls here. Girls here hold themselves with such grace. No offence to our hometown but it just seems like girls have a lot more respect for themselves over here, they hold themselves with a tender kind of grace and they don't throw themselves out there. We have a lot of respect for that. I think that's really cool for a girl. It's more natural beauty, it's less fake and I think that's really appealing to all of us.

Paul: So we're all love drunk right now

Martin: I think the last time I was actually love drunk was like a year ago and then I was hungover.

We arrived at 3.20 and damn even the mosh pit line was already pack. Waited in line for an hour before getting in. Stood right in front of the speakers on the left. Sorry to everyone standing beside me, as you would know now that I can go CRAZY!

A day after Panic at the Disco’s Ryan Ross and Jon Walker announced on MySpace that they were leaving the band, Panic’s two remaining members, frontman Brendon Urie and drummer Spencer Smith, calmed fans’ fears by saying the group will carry on and not cancel their upcoming tour dates. “Panic At The Disco is alive and very very well. We are working on new songs that we are excited for you to hear,” the remaining Panic pair wrote on MySpace. “Our dates with Blink-182 and No Doubt start in a little less than a month, and we wouldn’t miss those for the world.”

“We just wanted to let you know, that the news of Ryan and Jon leaving the band is unfortunately true. It’s been an amazing journey being in a band with them, but sometimes individual tastes take friends in different directions and you can’t ignore it,” Panic wrote, echoing Ross and Walker’s statements that creative differences fueled their exit from the group. “They are some of the most talented guys we know, and we’re sure that whatever they do next will be great. We know everybody has a lot of questions at this point with everything being so out of the blue, most of those should be answered in the coming weeks. We appreciate every one of you, and hope you continue with us on this incredible ride.”

Urie and Smith concluded their post by teasing fans with a pair of cryptic statements: “Pay attention we have a surprise in store for you” and “PS we were cleaning out the practice space and you’ll never guess what we found!” Thus far, guesses for what the band found range from two new members to Panic’s previously deleted exclamation point. According to Spencer Smith’sTwitter, Panic were in the studio yesterday toiling on two new songs (Twitpic proof), then wrapped a hard day of work by playing Mortal Kombat II.

How can this happen. It was only less than a year ago I saw them play on stage right in front of my eyes. And met them and and and ...... NOOOOO this is just such a depressing day. I even named my blog after them. This is not happening.

I still remember when me and my girlfriends were so excited to meet them, we jumped off the car and ran on the highway for our lives cause we were running late and we were told last minute. I also remember how me and my bestie bumped into each other while walking towards the boys and they were like "OH OH CAT FIGHT!" LOL! I'll miss the original band dearly.

Akon's beach concert postponed

Akon Concert Postponed to 24th October

After much anticipation, ‘Akon Freedom Beach Concert 09’ originally scheduled on Thursday, 2nd July 2009 has been postponed to Saturday, 24th October due to unforeseen circumstances.

According to Mr. Michael Chan, representative of the concert organizer Marctensia, Akon’s concert has to be postponed due to his personal reasons relating to his family emergencies; which caused him unable to make it to Malaysia. In fact, this also leads to the postponement of the Manila concert on 4th July.

“We deeply regret and apologize to the fans and media for any inconveniences caused due to the postponement of the concert at the very last minute. Attached herewith Akon’s video and Akon has assured to make it back to the fans.”

The concert will be rescheduled to Saturday, 24th October, Surf Beach @ Sunway Lagoon at 8pm. The current tickets prices at RM88 (Beach Zone), RM138 (Rock Zone) and RM188 (The Pitt) remain unchanged and all tickets issued will remain valid for the show on the new date.

LOS ANGELES, CA – The internet has been abuzz since this Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony, where Megan Fox jokingly remarked that she looked like a man.

When interviewed on the red carpet, she said “I look like Alan Alda in drag. I’m a tranny. I’m a man.”

At the time, reporters passed it off as a jovial attempt to cover for her nerves.

However, today she has cleared the air and officially reported: she’s really a man.

Megan Fox was born Mitchell Reed Fox in Rockwood, Tennessee. From an early age, Mitchell showed an interest in both performing and women’s clothing. When having a preacher lay hands on him did not ‘cure’ him of these interests, his parents simply put him on the pageant circuit.

By the age of 13, Mitchell had already started a career as a female child performer called ‘Megan Fox’. Making her debut on an Olsen Twins straight-to-video release, the twins have kept his secret all this time.

As a sweet 16 present, Fox’s parents offered him sexual reassignment surgery, which, given their child’s career, they’d hoped to write off as a business expense. Unfortunately laws prohibit such surgery to be done to minors.
